CONSUMER RESPONSIBILITY & PATCH TESTING
By purchasing our products, you acknowledge and accept that:
· Verification: You are responsible for reviewing all listed ingredients on the packaging and website prior to use to ensure they are suitable for your skin type.
· Mandatory Patch Test: You agree to perform a patch test on a small area of skin (e.g., inner arm) 24 hours prior to full application.
· Medical Consultation: You agree to consult with a physician or dermatologist before using active skincare products if you are pregnant, nursing, have a pre-existing skin condition, or are undergoing medical/cosmetic procedures.
INDIVIDUAL SKIN SENSITIVITY & LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Individual skin sensitivity varies. Icons of Skin Maison cannot guarantee suitability for all skin types, conditions, or individual physiologies. While our products comply with EU Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 and are subject to the safety assessments required thereunder, the Seller’s liability for adverse reactions is limited to the extent permitted by the applicable law of the consumer’s country of residence. In particular, the Seller shall not be liable for adverse reactions, allergies, or irritations to the extent that they result from:
1. The consumer’s failure to review the ingredients listed on the product packaging and website prior to use.
2. The consumer’s failure to conduct a patch test as recommended above.
3. Use of the product contrary to the instructions provided on the packaging.
4. Interaction with other cosmetic products, medications, or medical treatments not disclosed to the Seller.
Nothing in this section excludes or limits the Seller’s liability for death or personal injury caused by the Seller’s negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the applicable law of the consumer’s country of residence.

HYGIENE SEAL NOTICE — ORDER CONFIRMATION EMAIL
Important: Hygiene Seal & Right of Withdrawal
All skincare and cosmetic products in your order are delivered in the manufacturer’s original tamper-evident sealed packaging. Each product is protected by a hygiene seal which may include cellophane shrink-wrap, foil seals, tamper-evident closure bands, or other sealing mechanisms as determined by the manufacturer.
Pursuant to Article 16(e) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU, your right of withdrawal is excluded if the hygiene seal is broken, removed, or tampered with after delivery.
You can identify whether the seal is intact by examining the outer packaging upon delivery.
If you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal for a product with an intact, unbroken seal, please contact us within 14 days of delivery at Returns@the-ios.maison. We will confirm your withdrawal and advise you on any applicable next steps.

When your package arrives, please inspect the outer packaging before signing. All products are sealed with the manufacturer’s original tamper-evident hygiene seal. If the seal appears damaged or tampered with during transit, please photograph the packaging and contact us within 24 hours at Returns@the-ios.maison
Your right of withdrawal is preserved only while the hygiene seal remains intact and unbroken.
